JACKIE GLASS

Outside Agent

Travel has been my passion from very early years.  As part of a military family, travel was a constant for me from birth to high school.  After college I worked at an airline reservation center where my “geography” knowledge was strengthened. I taught high school and community college business and marketing courses in Louisiana and Texas.  My duties included placing students on jobs as well as guiding their progress with competitive activities at local, district, state, and national events  I planned and arranged trips for my  high school Marketing students to Leadership Conferences at regional – state- national competitions in Baton Rouge, New York City, Nashville, Atlanta, Orlando, Charleston SC, New Orleans, Ft. Worth, Denver, Salt Lake City, and San Jose CA as well as many small events in Louisiana and Texas for local competition.   Took 30 high school  seniors through People to People Initiative for Understanding cultural tour for 3 weeks  to Russia in June-July, 1992, right after the end of Communism.

After retiring from teaching, I  worked at Continental Airlines where I started at ticket counter and gates at IAH, then to 12 City Ticket Offices in Houston, then IAH Finance Department, and retired as Uniform Office Manager at IAH.

I Have been selling cruises and resorts since 2003 as a home based travel agent.

I firmly believe travel is the greatest education anybody can have because there is no substitute for first-hand experience when it comes to culture and geography.  l am familiar with all facets of the industry.  So far, I have been on 80 cruises including river and ocean itineraries.   My very favorite cruises are more than a week and  have done 8 repositioning ones both to and from US to Europe.

My experience has included many group reservations for cruises as well as resorts.  Please contact me for assistance with your travel plans whether for groups or individual information.
